David Barrows was an early settler of what is today Arcade, in Wyoming County, New York. He was one of the incorporators of the Arcade Congregational Church on 17 January 1831. His name is on the Pathmaster's list for 1836 with those living on present-day Liberty Street, running south from Main Street. He and his wife Ruth were dismissed by letter from the Congregational Church on 21 April 1844. He and Ruth appear in the 1850 US census for the town of Mt. Pleasant, Racine County, Wisconson. His age is given as 77 (indicating a birth date in 1772 or 1773) and his occupation as farmer.
