Services for Wanda Jean Kimberlin, 77 of Healdton will be 10:00 AM Wednesday September 14, 2011 at The First Baptist Church in Healdton, with Rev. Bill McFatridge officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Wanda was born January 7, 1934 in Watchorn, OK to Ernest Benjamin and Evelyn Virginia (Bruner) Bruner. She passed from this life September 11, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Wanda lived in Perry, OK until moving to Healdton in the 7th grade, graduating from Healdton High School in 1953. She married Vince Kimberlin September 24, 1965 in Zaneis, Ok, living there for a short time before moving to Healdton, where she and Vince raised their family. Wanda was very active in the First Baptist Church, of which she was a long time member, helping with the nursery, keeping the books for vacation bible school and singing in the choir. She was also a member of the WMU. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed cooking, sewing and going camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson Derek Benedict.
She is survived by two daughters Brenda Benedict, Hasting, OK and Melissa Coates, Byars, OK., a son Allen Kimberlin, Oklahoma City, a granddaughter Tina Benedict, Comanche, Ok, five grandsons Terry Benedict, Comanche, OK; Taylor East, Ada, OK; Travis East, Little Elm, TX; Remington Coates and Aidan Coates, Byars, OK.
Pallbearers will be Terry Rozzell, Greg Jean, Larry Bruner, Larry Benedict, Terry Benedict and Vince Freeman. Honorary bearers will be Remington Coates and Austin Benedict. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church 107 S. 4th Healdton, OK 73438( for Falls Creek cabin kitchen.) Family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
