The remains are at the Eikenberry Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Marburger was born in Union Township, Miami County, November 13, 1883, the son of Elias and Christina Detro Marburger. He was married August 13, 1946 to Frances Miller, who survives.

He had long been prominent in this community. He served two terms as county clerk, from 1925-1932, and was a former school teacher, his last position nbeing as principal at Richview School where he retired ini 1942.

He was a past Democratic party county chairman and a past president of the Kiwanis Club. He was president and treasurer of the board of directors of St. James EUB Church, where he for more than 30 years he served as Sunday School Superintendent.

Surviving with the widow he leaves two brothers, Elil F. of Indianapolis and John B. of Peru; and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Leedy and Mrs. Zena Waymire, both of Deedsville.

No indication has been given as to Mr. Marburger's successor as postmaster. Since it is a political post, Gerald Powell, Republican chairman, is expected to make the appointment. He stated no applicants have appeared as yet and it is probable an acting official will be named to serve several months, when an examination will be held for applicants.

Congressman John Beamer, of the Fifth District, will make the appointment, acting on the recommendation of the Miami County Central committee.
