Dorothy May Wells, 71, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on March 7, 1947 the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Johnson Cull. She was retired from working in a sewing factory, cleaning houses and being a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing quilts and her flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Wells of Frenchburg, KY; a grandson, Eric Jones of Eddyville, KY; 6 grandkids, Jesse Wells, Leah Sharp, Andrea Wells all of Georgetown, KY and Ashley, Katherine and Michelle Adams of Dayton, OH; eleven great grandchildren, Braxton Neal of Mt. Sterling, KY, Layton and Conner of Georgetown, KY, Taylor, Cierra, Chloe, Elaine, Issac, Xavier, Rilee and Aria of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Carl Cull of Miamisburg, OH and Earl Cull of Duncan, AZ; a special niece and nephew, Mary and Ricky Eversole of Frenchburg, KY and many friends from her church also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Donald Wells; one son, Lester "Hotrod" Wells; one daughter, Kathy Wells; two sisters, Sharon Eversole and Karen Hurt; one brother, Woodford Cull; and a very special friend, Faye Simpson.
Graveside services will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Benson-Craig Cemetery with Rev. Alan Ratliff officiating and burial following in the Benson-Craig Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12 noon - 2 pm on Friday at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dillon and Bobby Meeks.
