FORMER CITY PAINTER DIES AT AGE OF 65

Clifford Ruddy, 65, of 1617 S. 95th St., West Allis, a former city painting contractor for many years, died Wednesday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 4, 1905, at Oshkosh, a son of Joseph and Ella Ruddy. He married Adela Czoschke on June 22, 1929.

Mr. Ruddy was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church here and president of the congregation. He moved to West Allis in 1957.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Kenneth Ruddy of West Allis; one daughter, Mrs. James Opitz of Burlington; six grandchildren; one brother, George Ruddy of West Allis, and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Devine of Manawa and Mrs. Kate Hagen of West Bend.

He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jordan Lutheran Church in West Allis. Pastor Frederick Gilbert will officiate and burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Allis.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 1603 S. 81st St., West Allis.
