Mary P Thaxton, 78, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2007. Mary was a 13-year employee of Sears, and a homemaker. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. She has an abundabce of family and friends, who will miss her smiling face and kind words of encouragement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Thaxton; Parents, the Rev. Albert and Estella Holmes; son Eddie Thaxton; brothers, Lawrence, James and Elwood Holmes.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Thaxton and companion Deborah of Sissonville, Steve Thaxton and wifeAnna of Ienna, Ron Thaxton and companion Amy Bennett of Charleston; daughters and son-in-law Pam and Jack Parsons of Charleston, Jeanie and Ed Huffman of Elk Creek,VA, and Marsha and Jim Cowden of Trout Run, PA, brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Wanda Holmes of FL, Kenneth abd Betty Holmes of Diamond, Lennis "Buddy" Holmes of Sissonville, and Ronald and Lou Holmes of Cross Lanes; sisters and brothers-in-law Elizabeth and Phillip Bostic of Campbells Creek, and Edith and Jerry Lacy of Charleston; grandchildren, Duane Thaxton, Ronnie Thaxton, Joshua Thaxton, Shane Thaxton, Robert Thaxton, Rhonda Fisher, Melissa Montgomery,Tiffany Burdette Jarrett, Bana Wesley, and Shanna Rampino; and 15 great-grandchildren.
