William John Waterman Askew was my Gt Grandad.
He was a Gordon Highlander but not sure of the dates as yet. Will update when know.
William is the Father of my Nan Anne Elizabeth Askew who often said her dad was a pallbearer for King George V but still finding out if its true or not.
William has a brother Christopher Harold Askew im still looking for other relatives.
William died on 8th Febuary 1948 from Congestive heart failure.
Buried in an unmarked grave at East Down Church Cemetery in Devon.
