Mrs. Sarah Barton, 82, died last night at 8:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jink Chaffins of Catletts Creek, Route 1, Catlettsburg, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Barton a resident of Boyd County for 28 years, was born in Elliott County, Ky., a daughter of Daniel P. and Anna Lawson Barton. She was a member of the Twin Forks Nazarene church.
The body is at the Kilgore-Collier Funeral home, where friends may call after 7 o'clock tonight. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home tomorrow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Powell Meredith officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery on John Fork.
Surviving Mrs. Barton, besides the sister, are a son, Carl Adkins, Route 1, Catlettsburg; and two brothers, William P. Barton, Pedro, Ohio and W. S. Barton, Erlanger, Ky.; and one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
