Ruth Lee Dunn Leach, 85, of Bedford, KY, passed away on May 31, 2019 at Signature Healthcare in Bedford, KY. She was born on January 5, 1934 to the late Charlie and Virginia Cox Dunn in New Castle, KY. Ruth grew up in Carroll County, after marring she moved to Trimble County.
She was a devoted and lifelong member of Popular Ridge Baptist Church, Bedford, KY. From the early sixties to the mid-eighties Ruth spent her days cooking at the Trimble County Elementary School, and after that she cooked at the Trimble County Nursing Home, now known as Signature Healthcare, where she spent her final days in this life. She served on the Trimble County Election Board, as Judge and Sheriff. Ruth also gave of herself as a caregiver to many people. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to yard sales, gardening, tending to her flowers and spending time with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren.
Ruth leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Nancy Lee Hancock of Milton, KY and Gary Thomas Leach and his wife Brenda of Bedford, KY; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gayle Thomas Leach who passed away on March 20, 2003; two sisters, Margaret McAllister and Barbara Moutardier.
