Rev. Charles B. Cassady age 88, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 20, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. He was a minister of the Gospel for over 48 years, pastoring 5 churches. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lula Mae Cassady,

two brothers and one sister.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lola Cassady of Sweetwater.

Daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Kenny Mashburn of Sweetwater.

Son, Tim Cassady of Kentucky.

Granddaughter and husband, Steffanie and Chad Speck.

Granddaughter, Lacey Mason.

Grandson, Ethan Cassady.

Great-grandsons, Cole and Cooper Speck, Callen Speck.

Great-grandson, Ace Mason.

Great-granddaughter, Addie Belle Mason.

Two sisters and one brother.

The body is at Kyker Funeral Homes , Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm in Kyker’s Chapel with Chad Speck officiating.

Graveside service and Interment, 2:00 PM Sunday, June 23 at Sweetwater Memorial Park with military honors provide by the Monroe County Gold Star Post 5156, DAV, and American Legion.
