Mrs. Ackerson, 8048 E. Lewis Ave., moved to Scottsdale from Mesa in 1963 and lived with a daughter, Mrs. Ruth McCaffrie.
Mrs. Ackerman, who moved to Mesa in 1953 from Iowa, was a member of the Newcomers Club, Mesa Woman’s Club, Grandmothers Club of Phoenix, and the Moose Lodge auxiliary in Iowa. She was born in Boone, Iowa.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale, by Dr. Hayden S. Sears.
Friends may call the mortuary after 2 pm tomorrow.
Surviving beside her daughter, Mrs. McCaffrie, are a son, George Robertson of Boone; a brother, James E. Brixie of San Lorenzo, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Orville Comstock of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Kenneth White and Mrs. Hazel Garland, both of Boone; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
