Preston Allman, son of George Allman, died Tuesday, April 19, 1910, at 12:30 p.m. at their home at Shirley, Ind. after an illness of about one month with measles followed by a severe attack of tonsillitis. Age 9 years. Mr. Allman and his family formerly lived on the Louis Heins farm, about five miles southeast of this city and moved to Shirley last September. Mr. Allman and other members of the family passed through the city Friday morning with the body en route to Surprise.

Burial at the Wayman cemetery, five miles southwest of Surprise.

According to the death certificate, Preston had also developed pneumonia along with the tonsillitis.
