Leland was born November 5, 1925 in Akins, Oklahoma to Denton and Hattie Elizabeth(Smith) Rogers and died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in the Commons in Enid. After he graduated high school from Sallisaw with the class of 1943, he then enlisted in the United States Navy, serving for two years. He then attended Oklahoma State University. While enrolled at O.S.U. he also worked for the Stillwater Police Department.
On July 26, 1947, he married Georgia Nickens in Stillwater. The couple made their home in Enid. Leland was an auditor with the firm of Atwell-Vogel-Sterling.
He is survived by his son Stanley and wife Marfa, of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Elaine Elliott, Eric Rogers, Erin Reedy, Edra Eslinger, Ember Rodriquez, and Ethan Rogers, and two sisters, Berta Kenny and Kay Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Georgia in 1978, his brother Shortie Rogers and sister Doris.
