MRS. LENA F. POTTER DIES EARLY TODAY
Mrs. Lena Frances Potter, 50, died 11:45 p. m. Wednesday at her home, 11 Owen street, after being in failing health for more than two years and seriously ill since February.
Funeral services for Mrs. Potter will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Woods Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. Harry H. Ford, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
She was born July 24, 1899, at Braymer, Mo., the daughter of Ed and Della Towle Whitworth. She married Clifton Potter May 15, 1915, at Excelsior Springs.
Mrs. Potter was a resident here for 37 years and was a member of the Woods Memorial Christian church.
Surviving are her husband, Clifton Potter of the home; one son Buddy Dean Potter of this city; five daughters, Mrs. Laveta Dooley, Mrs. Della Mae Barnes, Mrs. Erma Jean Hendricks, Mrs Cliftena Endsley, and Miss Willena Joyce Potter, all of this city.
Five sisters, Mrs. Frank Cain, Vibbard, Mrs. George Goodman, Sampsell, Mo., Mrs. Arlen Schooler, Atchinson, Kans., Mrs. Ralph Klingensmith, Oregon, and Miss Hattie Whitworth, Ray county; and three brothers, Homer and Jim Whitworth, both of Trenton and Burnice Whitworth, California.
Pallbearers will be Floyd Lee, Jesse B. Carlow, Marvin Handy, Jewell Corum, Dwight Wills, and Billy Lee Vassemer.
The body will lie in state at Prichard's Funeral home until 1 p.m. tomorrow.
