Steven Wayne Carnes, 70, of Vienna passed away October 8, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born on December 31, 1948 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late William R. and B. Eleanor Alton Carnes.

From an early age Steven had a passion for motorcycles, raced in motocross was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) for many years. He was a member of the Sky Sharks, flying model airplanes, a member of the Parkersburg Yacht Club and will be remembered by all as "one of the good guys". Steven started his career with GE in 1979, worked under Marbon and retired under SABIC management in 2010. Steven volunteered and served in the US Navy.

Steven is survived by his wife Jane E. Prunty Carnes, children Tessie Carnes, Joe Carnes (Sarah), Tony Carnes, sister Annie Lerch (Jim), nephew Michael Lerch and niece Christina Buttrey, his fur babies Zoe, Holly, Buster and Jambi and a host of friends including Lora Napp and Kathy Wallace.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
Visitation will be 1 - 4 and 6 - 8 on Saturday and for one hour prior to the service on Sunday
