Her obituary appears in the Spartanburg Herald Journal Obituary Section on, Feb. 13, 1960 on page A5.Campobello - Mrs. HATTIE BRUCE SUDDUTH, 87, widow of P. C. SUDDUTH, died at her home Friday at 8:10 p.m. following two years of declining health and seven weeks of serious illness. She was born and raised in Greenville County, daughter of the late WILLIE W. and ELIZAH MILTON BRUCE. She had been a resident of Campobello Route 2 for the past 48 years. A member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, she was a member of the TELL Sunday School Class. Surviving are: two daughter, Mrs. ERNEST E. HIGHTOWER and Mrs. BEN COOPER of Campobello Route 2; one sister, Mrs.CARRIE TAPP of Greer; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Wood Mortuary of Greer.
