Arthur W Smith 48, second son of the late Gov. Alfred E Smith, died yesterday at his home 305, W 18th Street.
He had retried two years ago from business because of illness. He had been associated with several coal and oil companies.
He was the constant companion of his father on two Presidential campaign tours, the first in 1928 when his father was the Democratic standard bearer and again in 1932 when both he and his father electioneered for Franklin D Roosevelt.
