MRS. AMANDA BROWN
(1880-1957)
Mrs. Amanda Brown, 76, died Friday at 2:25 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ada Mae VanHoose of Williams Hollow off Slab Run.
She was born Dec. 11, 1880, a daughter of Timothy and Lottie Brown Roe. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters, a daughter, and her husband Samuel Brown who died in 1925.
She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. VanHoose; six sons, Joh, William, Harrison and Joe, all of Slab Run, Isaac of Nauvoo, Homer of 513 Campbell Ave.; five sisters, Mrs. Sennie Blevins of Sixth St., Portsmouth, Mrs. Lennie Bush and Mrs. Addie Brown of White Oak, Ky., Mrs. Ruby Shepherd of Columbus and Mrs. Eva Brown of Michigan.
Friends may call at the home of the son, Homer, 513 Campbell Ave., where services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Lynn Funeral Home.
