Irma “LaVonne” Ross, age 81 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in Greenwood, Kentucky on December 22, 1937, the daughter of the late Barney Oral and Dora Mae (Young) Clark, and widow of Burdell Ross. LaVonne was a School Teacher for McCreary County School System, she was a member of Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed Reading, Crocheting, and her grandchildren.
Her parents, Barney and Dora Clark, husband, Burdell Ross, brothers; Glenn Clark, Kenneth Clark, Newman Clark, Oral Clark, Ralph Clark, Ray Clark, Jr. Clark precede her in death.
Survivors include her son, Christopher Ross of Strunk, KY.; daughters; Ameila Strunk and husband Ed of Strunk, KY., Sharon Ross-Privett and husband Eric, also of Strunk, brother; James Clark of Indianapolis, IN., grandchildren; Chelsea Ross, Clark Ross, Holly Bartley (Joshua), Ethan Stephens, Aryn Stephens, Donovan Lay, Connor Ross, Gage Privett, Jadyn Privett, Great-grandchildren; Baylor and Finley Bartley, and Special friends; Alvilda Burke and Nelda Jones.
A Memorial Service gathering of family and friend will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home.
