Grace M. Lore, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, NY, and a daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Socco Caporale, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at United Hebrew Geriatric Center in New Rochelle. She was 86 years old.Born and educated in New Rochelle, Grace married Frank Lore, Jr. on June 8, 1941. Primarily a homemaker, she also spent several years working at the College Diner and Yellow Submarine on North Avenue in New Rochelle. Grace was a woman who was very personable and outgoing and, therefore, she made and enjoyed many faithful friends. She loved dancing, watching sports, especially baseball, and bowling, but more than anything she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren.Grace was predeceased by her dear husband, Frank, on October 24, 1997. She was the loving mother of William Lore (and Dorothy), Barbara Garafola Allaire (and Paul) and Frank Lore III (and Mary) and the beloved grandmother of Kenneth, Mark, Frank IV, Richard, Susan, John, Michael, the late William Lore, Jr. and the late Lori Ann Garafola. She was also the cherished great grandmother of Danielle, Sara, Eva Grace and Benjamin and the dear sister of Salvatore Caporale. Her brothers, Tony, Tommy, and Andy, and her sisters, Anna Mecca and Faustina Carroscio predeceased her.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Holy Family Church, Mayflower Avenue, New Rochelle, NY. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle.The family will be present to receive visitors and condolences on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at F.
