Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Caro Methodist Church for Ellis Henry Abke, 65, of 333 Purdy Road, Caro, who died Monday at home. Burial will be in Caro Cemetery with Rev. Paul M. Cargo officiating.
Mr. Abke was born July 21, 1901 at Caro and was a retired farmer, a member of the Methodist Church and the I.O.O.F. Lodge 173 of Caro. He married the former Ernestine Barnes at Caro on October 14, 1931. She survives. Besides his wife, he also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Janice) Majask of Reese; two brothers, Melvin of Caro and Cecil of Unionville; and a sister, Mrs. Cleo Stader of Northville.
