She was born May 30, 1958, in Havana, Cuba.
She faithfully served in the USMC for 10 years and then continued her service as a civil service daycare provider. Later in life, she began working at a local gas station, where she made many life-long friends who continued to support her and her family throughout her battle with cancer.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Carlos of Yuma, AZ and Amanda Adams of Swansboro; son, Joshua Bergin of Swansboro; grandchildren, Anthony Carlos, Aiden Carlos, Austin Carlos, Delilah Adams, and Sydeny Rose; sister, Lirida Alfonso-Colon of Boston; father, Orlando Alfonso of Miami, FL; and mother, Jorgelina R. Alfonso of Boston.
