Died, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Foster, corner Rutledge street and North Grand avenue, at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 1903, of a complication of diseases, Robert R. Foster, aged 21 years, 8 months and 16 days. Robert Foster's death came as the culmination of a lingering illness lasting for about a year. The deceased was born in this city and attended the public schools here. He was always a leader among his schoolmates and companions, and no affair was ever complete without the presence of Robert Foster. He excelled in athletics, and was considered one of the best half-backs on the high school foot ball team a few years ago.
The deceased is survived by his parents, three brothers, Fred F. Foster, Harrison E. Foster and George A. Foster, all of this city, and one sister, Mrs. W. B. Curtiss, of Waverly. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 3-2-1903
