Sherman Lorn Dooley, 90 of Forsyth, died Thursday, Feb. 12 at Forsyth Nursing and Rehab in Forsyth.
He was born Sept. 3, 1913 in Nevada, MO, the son of Harbin and Josephine (Agee) Dooley. In 1965, Sherman moved from Excelsior Springs. He was a member of the Bee Keepers Club and the Model "T" Club.
Survivors include six daughters, Eleanor Harrison of Forsyth, Nancy Gulley of Woodland Park, Colo., Sharon Sheets of Riverside, Lorna Oliphant of Richmond, Linda Hough of Independence and Jackie Rogers, of Springdale, Ark., one sister, Ruth Kyger of Bella Vista, Ark., one brother, Richard Dooley of Marion, Ind., 20 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Preceding Sherman in death was his wife LaVeta Belle Dooley.
Services were held Sunday, Feb. 15 at Whelchel Funeral Chapels in Forsyth. Burial followed in Helphrey Cemetery in Taneyville. Arrangements were under the direction of Whelchel Funeral Chapels, Forsyth.
