Helen V. Kriger, age 84 of Newtown, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Bradley Memorial Hospital, Southington. Mrs. Kriger was the wife of the late David E. Kriger. She was born in Huntington, N.Y. on February 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Gustav and Lucy (Frederick) Thorne. Helen was a resident of Newtown since 1969 and was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kriger was an honorary member of the Horticulture Club of Newtown. Helen is survived by two daughters, Terry Way of Elkton, Md. and Donna Gollenberg of Southington; and three grandchildren, Brian and Lisa Gollenberg and Sean Way.
