Peggy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Rupert and Abby Smith of Corinth, her brother and sister, RL Smith and Mary Mills, both of Selmer.
During her professional career she worked in insurance for various local agencies and Hall of Mississippi. After retirement Peggy was active in the Pilot Club, served as a docent for the Curley House, and worked tirelessly to preserve the property and re-build a congregation for the Mt Carmel Church. She was an avid supporter of the performing arts, but her personal talents were in all things associated with needlecrafts. Peggy will be remembered most for her green thumb, strong faith, and love of her poodle children and granddogs.
Due to the pandemic and out of concern for the friends services will be private. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
