Born in Blair, West Virginia, she came to Bronson from Brooksville, FL. She worked as an assembly line worker for Sparton Electric Co. for several years and and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in in Bronson, FL. Her hobbies were quilting, sewing, working puzzles, gardening and traveling, but her top priority was her family.
She is survived by her 6 sons, Eugene C. Johnson, Paul Edward Simmers, James Donald (Karen) Simmers, Gary Lee (Elieen) Simmers, George Arthur Simmers and Douglas Allen Simmers, 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her 2 daughters, Beverly Ann Born, Jerri Rae Simmers and 1 grandson Michael Scott Norton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Chapel at Knauff Funeral Home Williston, FL. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at the Knauff Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in the Bronson Cemetery, Bronson, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
