Joseph Cotton Hobdy with granddaughter Nancy Elizabeth Hobdy. Joseph was the son of Moore Cotton and Matilda Harrell Hobdy. "Cott" was educated at the Presbyterian Academy of Bowling Green and Greenwood Academy of Sumner County TN. He married first; Nov. 17, 1874 Mary F. Hinton,they had one child Cora. Joseph married second September 11, 1883 Frances Marie Wilkins and they had three children, Mary, Anna and Nathan Wilkins.
