James Orville Alair was born the son of Thomas Smith Alair and Edna Hyde Alair.
He retired from Sears & Roebuck Co. as a credit manager for the Southwest Region. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena McCrory Alair; a sister, Thelma A. Smith; and a brother, Thomas E. Alair.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie A. Wellmon of Lawndale and Nettie A. Mueck of Lake Jackson, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
