Nancy Crook Cheek age 82 passed away Friday September 12 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Jere Lawrence Crook of Jackson TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Owsley Ritchey Cheek 1998 and her brothers Senter C. Crook Jere L. Crook Jr. Lt. Joseph A. Crook II and Dr. William Grant Crook of Jackson TN. Mrs. Cheek is survived by daughter Nancy Crook Cheek; son Owsley Ritchey Cheek Jr. and grandchildren Owsley R. Cheek III Lindsay and Matthew Cheek; sister Martha Crook Thompson Joe; and brother Dr. Angus M. G. Crook Nancy. She graduated from Jackson High School attended Union University and was a member of Chi Omega sorority graduated from Lambuth College with a degree in voice and piano. She also studied music at the American Conservatory in Chicago and in New York. Mrs. Cheek was a member of Belle Meade Club Centennial Club and on the West End Home auxiliary. Memorial services to be conducted at Christ Church Cathedral Tuesday September 16th 11 a.m. by the Very Reverend Kenneth Swanson. Visitation preceding the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Community Center the West End Home or Christ Church Cathedral.
