Wilson Thomas Gibbons has gone to be with the love of his life, Shirley. Retired from Bakers Café 33, this loving father & grandfather is survived by three children Thomas, Renee, & Jeff. and grandchildren Jennifer, Shelly, Ashley, Keith, and Emily. Born in Alliance Ohio to Wilson F. Gibbons and Margaret (Howell) Gibbons. He was survived by his sisters Mary, Patricia, Charlette, and Faith and brothers Bill, Chuck, Jack, Gary, Larry, and Lawrence. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Shirley, his mother Margaret (Howell) Gibbons, Father Wilson F. Gibbons, and sister Carol Jean Gibbons. This great man will be missed by all who knew him loved & cared about him. He was born of a generation who valued family, and took pride in fixing things, rather than replacing them. He was always willing to help if you were willing to put your effort into it too. I think he enjoyed the challenge of figuring out how things worked and fixing them. He faithfully read the newspaper every day, while sipping his coffee. Friday evenings was dinner at the family restaurant, Saturday mornings was breakfast with his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed staying connected to his family, which is not easy in this busy world today.
He enjoyed family gatherings, laughing and life. Taking walks with his little dog Boo. I recall walking in one day and seeing this tough man laying on the floor laughing and carrying on with this little pup. Something I thought I would never see. The wonderful times we shared with him will keep him in our hearts. He will never be forgotten, Holidays will never be the same, and I imagine there is still more we will learn as we share the stories about how he touched our lives. He is greatly loved and will be missed.
Rest in peace Dad. You will always have a place in our hearts.
