Donald M. Clark, 87, of Springfield, IL formerly of Virginia, IL passed away at 10:00 pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Heritage Health. He was born on February 7, 1933 in Cass County, IL to Herschal and Blanche (Dearing) Clark. He married Shirlee Thomas on May 16, 1959 and she survives.

Also surviving are his two children, Karen Clark of Springfield, IL and Michael Clark of Thomasboro, IL; six grandchildren, Capt. Benjamin Donohoo, Sam Donohoo, Christopher Wright, Nicholas Wright, Kaleigh Clark and Kassidy Clark; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Candace Wright; two brothers, Herschal "Glen" (Roberta) Clark of Athens, IL and Richard (Sharon) Clark of Springfield, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.C. Clark; sister-in-law, Joanne Clark; sister, Sylvia Palmer and brother-in-law, Tom Palmer.

Donald was a graduate of Chandlerville High School and was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Beardstown. Donald's biggest hobby was working in his yard.

Private family services are being held at 11 am, Saturday, January 2, 2021. Due to CDC guidelines, family and friends are welcome to view the funeral that will be LIVE STREAMED at 11 am.

Pending the ability to safely gather and celebrate Donald's life the internment at Camp Butler National Cemtery will be held at a later date.
