William Medicus Roberts Jr. age 82 passed into the Heavenly Gates on April 9th,2020 at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah,Georgia.He was born on January 31,1938 in Savannah,Georgia and graduated from Savannah High School Class of 1957.He attended Armstrong State College for two years before going to work at his father's business Savannah Electric and Magneto on Liberty Street.He became the GM and then the President when his father retired many years later.He ran the business with his then partner Edward Leonard until they decided to close the business.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Savannah,Georgia.Bill attended and was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church and First Baptist Church where he served as deacon.Bill worked as the custodian for First Baptist from May 2001-May 2017 and a plaque hangs in Lewis Hall in memory of him and his work there.Later in life he attended and became a member of Asbury Memorial Church with Rev. Billy Hester as minister and he attended with his friends Thomas Hunter and Robert McEwen.

Bill got married on March 10,2014 in San Diego,CA to his longtime life partner Lance Ramsey whom he met on August 3,2003.They enjoyed spending 5 days in California visiting with his brother Dan(Robin)and family and also celebrating Lance's 50th Birthday on the 11th.

In addition to his parents,Bill was predeceased by his younger sister Floride "Flo" Calhoun Roberts Osteen and is survived by his husband Lance Ramsey-Roberts,his older sister Elizabeth Alston Roberts Timmerman and two younger brothers Lawrence Albert Roberts and Daniel B.Roberts(Robin Young Roberts)and many nieces and nephews.

Bill got to visit Italy,Germany,Austria,and Ireland during his lifetime and had many stories and pictures to share about his time there.On one trip to Italy he got to see Luciano Pavarotti,famous Italian Opera singer,at the NYC airport waiting to board the same flight on Air Italia to Rome,Italy.In Italy he got to see Rome,Naples and Venice.He also got to visit the Vatican but unfortunately the Pope didn't come out on the balcony to speak.He visited many cathedrals and museums too.He enjoyed trips to the Cayman Islands too.
