Betty L. (Harbach) Ruhl, 85, wife of Thomas P. “Tom” Ruhl, Sr., of Loganton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 at the Williamsport Home.
Born in Lock Haven on Nov. 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Catherine (Englert) Harbach.
Betty and Tom were wed on May 21, 1954 and shared over 66 years of marriage together.
She was the 1953 class valedictorian of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton and was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Loganton.
For over 26 years she was a postal clerk, however her greatest joy was that of a wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed lighthouses, crossword puzzles and being a homemaker.
Along with her husband she is survived by four children, Thomas P. Jr., (Judy) Ruhl, Loganton, Randall “Randy” (Lois) Ruhl, Laporte, Pa., Brian (Diane) Ruhl, Mill Hall and Elizabeth (Anthony) Hanlon, Harrisburg, Pa., two sisters Shirley Renninger of South Williamsport and Dorothy Laubach of Loganton, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Leighy, three brothers, Robert Harbach, Harry Harbach and David Harbach and a grandson, Christopher R. Ruhl.
The funeral service will be held .at 1 1 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 in the Albright United Methodist Church, 47 E. Main St., Loganton, PA 17747 with Pastor Brenda Mitchell officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
