Gary Thomas Nelson 65 of Ashland passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Gary was born March 05, 1955 in Ashland to Walter and Bessie Arthur Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his father Walter Nelson; one brother Mike Nelson; and one sister Carolyn Gussler.
He was a former Tankerman with Ashland Oil Marine Division.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years Lora Caddell Nelson; his mother Bessie Arthur Nelson; one daughter Courtney Nelson; two stepsons Butch Perkins and Josh Nelson; five brothers Danny Nelson, David Nelson, Charles Nelson, Rick Nelson and Billy Nelson; three sisters Linda Butcher, Brenda Craig and Roberta Cordle: four grandchildren Isabelle Nelson, Nathaniel Nelson, Nate Perkins and Megan Perkins; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.
