Minda was born in Wheatley, Ontario in 1914. She graduated as an RN from Grace Hospital, Windsor, Ontario, in 1936. In the early 1940s Bill and Minda owned and operated the Minda Lee Pastry Shop in Windsor and the Dingley Dell in Roseland. In the 1960s they bought and operated the Scanlon Bakery on Yonge Street in Aurora, which later became Granny's Tarts. Minda was a talented and artistic woman. Each of our lives has been touched by her creativity. We were all blessed to have her in our lives for so many years.
Honouring Minda's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in Aurora at a later date. In memory of Minda, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Care Centre, Newmarket, Ontario. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Windsor, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to Thompson Funeral Home, Aurora.
