Funeral for Lahoma Creel Culver, 91, of Falkville will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Falkville with the Rev. Shaun Kennedy officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Culver, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Gum Pond to Jada and Katie Sue Elmore Creel. Mrs. Culver was a member of the First Baptist Church of Falkville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Culver; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Culver Whitley; her parents; and four sisters, Eulala Ryan, Drusilla Winton, Atha Lambert and Odessa Oliver.
She is survived by her stepson, Thomas G. Culver of Decatur; stepsister, Doris Briscoe of Decatur; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; eight nephews and four nieces; and special friends, Wayne Coots and family.
Pallbearers will be Chandler Culver, B.G. Ryan, W.C. Vassar, Douglas Winton, Jada Winton, Roland Oliver, Jerry Oliver, Tommy Oliver and Bill Oliver.
