Elsie Mae (Gentry) Sims Reynolds
JUNE 26, 1925 – APRIL 13, 2021

Elsie Mae [Gentry] Sims Reynolds departed this life on April 13th at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old. Elsie was born at home, June 26, 1925, in Orange County, Indiana to the late Raymond Gentry and Lucille Smedley Gentry.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Frank Sims in 1965 and Jerry Reynolds in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Annabelle [in infancy], Ernest Gentry, Margaret Carter, Zora Davis, Mary Green and Bertha Schleibaum, step-son, Harold Sims and grandson, Dustin Sims.

Elsie had worked at many places and it seemed that she had met most of the people in Bloomington.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her daughters Sandy Glasscock and Carolyn Sims, five grandchildren, Tim Sims, Tammy Robertson, Jaime White, Jessie Glasscock and Codi Glasscock; and seven great-grandchildren, Rileigh Sims, Kyla Sims, Karah Sims, Alysah Sims, Isaiah White, Ahlayna Shelton and Josie Shelton, five, soon to be seven, great-great-grandchildren, Nyleiah Sims, Calianah Brinegar, Everleigh Sims, JaKaree Sims, Ehlyas Sims and unborn twins due in December. She will be deeply missed by her family, many friends, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Elsie will be at Deremiah Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 Gourley Pike on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 until service beginning at 11a.m. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel.

We will meet at the Mitchell Cemetery at 2 p.m., Monday for last respects at her burial site.
