His musical talents were fostered in high school and he especially enjoyed playing his French horn in the Prospect High School Marching Band. Steve moved to Minnesota after graduation and they were married in February of 1984. TheirDaughter, Guinevere was born in 1991. The birth of Guiny, as a 24- week preemie, greatly impacted daily their daily life and reinforced the necessity for patience, strategy, dedication and limitless love.
Steve spent 23 years working in home furnishings at Dayton's, Hudson's and Marshall Field's and enjoyed his time and the connections he made as a buyer. After a career change, he became the primary caregiver for daughter Guiny and with that limitless love worked diligently to keep her safe and happy. Steve was treasured and appreciated by his extended family and many close friends. He was always there to help. His thoughtfulness, warm smile and "It'll be fine" approach, supported and comforted many throughout the years. His laughter could fill a room. He enjoyed bicycling, gardening, and was an active contributor to many online groups. Steve's love of music was expressed through his lifelong commitment to church music. As a choir member, his voice added value to many tenor sections. He played the French horn and chaired the renovation committee to repair and upgrade of a historic organ.
