Following a brief illness, Josh Byron Glass passed away, April 1, 2021 in West Valley City, UT. He was born January 5, 1973, in Provo, UT.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph Byron and Ruth Harris Glass; three brothers, Benjamin (Lenora), David (Jana Marie), Timothy (Beanexy); and one sister, Jana Glass; ten nephews; and one niece.

Josh grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and lived in Murray, Hunter, West Jordan, and Sandy, UT. His family also lived in Fairfield, CT for a couple of years. He loved being near the ocean.

In his youth, Josh loved Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was gifted musically and artistically. He played the piano and guitar and drew and painted several lovely pieces of artwork. He loved to bowl and fish.

He trained to be a brick mason and was very talented at making custom-built brick mailboxes. In later years, he worked as a customer service representative. He also loved to raise vegetable gardens and willingly shared his vegetables. In recent years, Josh enjoyed making and bottling his own salsa.

He loved animals and had three pet cats that were like family. He also had a soft heart for the homeless. For a couple of years in the summertime, before the pandemic, he would prepare salads, sandwiches, and desserts to take to Liberty Park on Sunday afternoons to share with the homeless people who participated in the drum circle.

Josh had several good friends who were patient and kind and good to him. Thank you, all who cared for our Joshua.

A brief viewing and memorial service were held on Friday, April 9, 2021 for Josh's family and a few close friends, due to COVID restrictions. His remains will be buried in the Blanding City Cemetery, Blanding, UT.
