Betty Irene Tyler, 87, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Luke's Nursing Center, Carthage. Betty was born October 2, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar Silvers and Frona (Hutchins) Silvers. She was a graduate of Carthage High School. She married Charles Tyler on October 12, 1968. She attended the Baptist church in Carterville, Missouri.

Survivors include five sons, Robert Lacey (Debbie), Carthage, Larry Lacey (Nancy), Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Mike Lacey, Webb City, Missouri, Jamie Tyler, Webb City, Missouri, and Chad Tyler (Melissa), Oronogo, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Meister (Carl), Avilla, Missouri, and Brenda Parkhurst (Phillip) of Kansas; a brother, Carl Silvers, Newton, Alabama; a sister, Kay Dunkle, Webb City, Missouri; and fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Tyler; and five brothers and sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be held 3 pm, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
