ROBERT S. BEDNAREK -- Robert S. Bednarek, age 83, late of Lynwood and formerly of Lansing, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2007. Beloved husband of Marilyn [née Ustanik] and the late Dorothy [née Walczak]; loving father of Rose, Jan [Rob] Wagner, Marie [Brian] Kheros and Karen [Harley] Tucker; devoted grandfather of Ronda, Robert, Raymond, Dorothy, Jo Anna, Lauren, Matthew, and Michael; great-grandfather of Ryan, Benjamin, Ambur, Kharl, Nicholas, Parker and Faith. Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of US Marine Corps WWII. Retired employee of Cinders, Inc., member of Operating Engineers Local 150, Polish Legion of American Veterans, Woodrow Wilson Post 20, South Chicago Social Club and Boys Alliance Club [BAC]. Visitation Tuesday 2-9 pm. Funeral services Wednesday January 10, 2007 at 8:30 am, from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois, to Saint Ann Church. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
