Mrs. John Sanborn, one of the earliest settlers here, died Saturday at the home of her son John at Adams and was brought here Monday afternoon for burial in Oak Lawn cemetery beside her husband and son. Among those who came from away were a son Apker Sanborn of Minneapolis and Mrs. Ella Fields of Elroy. (Baraboo Weekly News - Thurs., Oct. 14, 1920, pg.3)
