Benjamin Moore had a circus named Moore Family Circus that traveled before and after WWI. His oldest son and daughter were professional roller skaters in Vaudeville and with his circus. His daughter Eva Mae More and Mitzi had a double trapeze act. Eva married Emmett Kelly and they all traveled with John Robinson Circus. Benjamin Moore was the Night Watchman in North Peru's Circus Yards living on property in a Pullman car until his death

--Benjamin S. "Dinty" Moore, Sr., 67, watchman at the Hagenback-Wallace train shed in Oakdale, and former trapeze artist, died Monday night in Dukes Memorial hospital following a short illness from a stroke of apoplexy.
--A native of Georgia, Mr. Moore came to Peru from Atlanta in 1928. Since 1923, he has been engaged in circus work.
--Surviving are the widow, Marian M. Moore; the following children: Thomas Moore, Peru; Mrs. Gladys McAllister(sic), Chili; Mrs. Bertha Cooper, Essex, Mo.; and Benjamin F.(sic) Moore, Jr., Essex, Mo.; Mrs. Mattie Belle Sleeter, with the L. G. Barnes show; Mrs. Grace Genders, with the Ringling Brothers circus; Miss Eva Mae Moore, with Hagenbeck-Wallace circus; and a brother, William Moore, Atlanta, Ga.
--The body was removed to the Allen funeral home where final rites will be conducted at a time to be announced later. Burial will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
