Carlinville, July 24 - Dr. J.M. Dillenbeck, of Carlinville, formerly of Springfield, died at 6 a.m. Thursday at his residence here after a short illness.

Dr. Dillenbeck, a retired veterinary, began practicing veterinary medicine in Gillespie on March 24, 1910. He later moved to Springfield and then to Carlinville.

In 1940, he became associated with the State Department of Agriculture where he was engaged in livestock disease control work.

Born in Utica, N.Y., Dr. Dillenbeck was a son of Charles and Lucy Dillenbeck.

He was married June 15, 1910 to Clarice M. Bergman who survives.

Remains were at the Heinz funeral home where services were held.

Burial was in Mayfield cemetery.
