Evelyn was born in Joplin, MO to Jack and Frieda Comer on June 30, 1934. She was devoted to God as a Sunday School teacher and in later years helped with accounting tasks at Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a life long bowler and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, baking and cooking.
She married Bob Lindquist in March of 1954, he preceded her in death.
Evelyn is survived by three children, Debbie Lindquist, Lees Summit, MO, Nita Stiles and husband Bruce, Kansas City, MO, Ed Lindquist, Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Nicole Lindquist, Luke Stiles and Adam Stiles. Evelyn also leaves behind three siblings, Letha Roller, Neosho, MO, Leon Comer and Don Comer, both of Joplin.
A service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26th at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 p.m. Monday until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
