Lorene Abshire was born June 9, 1942 in Pike Co., Kentucky and passed away Sept. 26, 2021 at her residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Landon and Laura Mae Gross Good.
On Dec. 20, 1957 Lorene was united in marriage to Earl Q. Abshire. In addition to her husband of 64 years she is survived by a daughter: Laura Abshire Atha of Dry Ridge; a son: Rodney Earl (Rebecca) Abshire of Pendleton Co.; a nephew raised as a son: Bobby (Karla) Parker of Bethel, OH; a grandson: CJ (Shelbey) Lewis of Dry Ridge; a great granddaughter: Charlee Lewis of Dry Ridge; 2 brothers: James (Judy) Good of Tennessee and Billy Joe (Debbie) Good of Glasgow; and a sister: Mary (Bob) Parker of Bethel, OH.
Lorene was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Woodroow Good, Clyde Good and Paul Good; a sister: Emma Lee Willoughby and a step brother: Fred Good.
She was a retired produce manager for Save-a-Lot in Dry Ridge and a member of Grant County Church of Christ. In her spare time, Lorene loved gardening and her flowers. She will be remember in the community for her yard sales and going to auctions.
Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 1, 2021 at Broadridge Cemetery in Dry Ridge. Burial will follow in the Broadridge Cemetery.
