Dorothy M. Ayers, 84, passed away at Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility on October 6, 2021. She was born August 15, 1937 to the late JD and Hallie Parker. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Earl Ayers; her infant daughter, Eupha Michelle; four brothers, Chester, James, Otis and Bill Parker; two sisters, Gracie Cupp and Goldie Ayers.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Ronnie) Smith of Ewing, VA; Four sons, Terry (Lila) Ayers of Ewing, VA, Wayne (Lisa) Ayers of Tazewell, TN, Johnny (Janet) Ayers and Ray Ayers of Ewing, VA; five grandchildren, Jamie (Logan) Brooks, Rhonda Watson, Lacy (Travis) Day, Jessica Ayers and Vanessa (Andrew) Laws; one great granddaughter, Sadie Brooks; one sister, Eupha Miracle and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Robinette Funeral Home in Rose Hill, VA.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in the Ayers Cemetery in Ewing, VA.
