Sherrill Lee Perkins, age 20 months, died unexpectedly enroute on the morning of February 2, 1966, as her parents were taking her to consult a medical specialist in Oberlin, Ohio. Sherrill had been ill for three days. She was the young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Perkins, 61 White Avenue, New London, Ohio.

The child was pronounced dead on arrival at the office of Dr. William R. Graham in Wakeman, Ohio. Dr. H. D. Erlenbach, deputy coroner of Huron County, Ohio, ruled the death was due to dehydration caused by gastroenteritis.

Sherrill was born on May 19, 1964, in New London, Ohio.

Survivors included her parents; two brothers, Leon and her twin brother Ricky Joe, both at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ransom Case, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Owens, all of New London, Ohio.

Calling hours and funeral services were held in the Eastman Funeral Home, New London, Ohio. The Reverend William Gilliam, pastor of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiated. Burial was in Grove Street Cemetery.
