At Joliet – Elwin Boltin, who was wanted here for forging a check, by which he swindled the First National Bank in this city out of several hundred dollars, is now in the Penitentiary of Joliet for 5 years, under the name of Ed. Clark, for burglary committed in Macon County.
Sheriff Ware arrested Boltin at Williamsport, IN, leaving him in care of the city marshal, while he went to Indianapolis for requisition, and Boltin escaped, since which time, he has not been seen by any Champaign County officer
